  • Common Tea Bag Questions

Yes. Our sachets contain intact whole leaf tea rather than broken leaf or fannings. Whole leaf allows for more stable extraction and clearer structure compared to most conventional tea bags.

Our sachets are made from PLA, a plant-based bioplastic derived from fermented plant sugars. It is approved globally for food contact use and selected for its heat stability and brewing performance.

Yes. PLA is a type of plastic, though it is plant-derived rather than petroleum-based. We believe it’s important to be direct about materials and transparent about trade-offs.

It depends on what’s inside the bag. Many commercial tea bags use broken leaf grades. When whole leaf is used and given room to expand, the results can be comparable. If avoiding plastic entirely is important to you, loose leaf remains the simplest format.

Use water appropriate to the tea type and allow full steep time so the leaf can expand and extract evenly. Each product page includes specific temperature and timing guidance.
