  • MATCHA KAME | ceremonial grade

    notes — wagashi | MSG | buttery

KAME is our pinnacle Matcha—an ultra-premium release from the same storied grower behind our beloved Matcha Wazuka. Harvested in early spring 2024 and meticulously rested under cold storage until 2025, Matcha Kame is a one-time offering of only 200 tins.

    Format

Cultivated from 100% traditionally shaded Samidori leaves, Matcha Kame showcases the very best of Uji’s centuries-old tea craftsmanship. The prolonged shading coaxes out natural sweetness and a velvety smoothness, culminating in a vivid, electric-green froth and a pleasantly lingering finish.

We carefully selected and cold-aged this small batch to let the flavors develop and deepen over time. The result is a complex harmony of sweet cream, savory depth, and delicate vegetal brightness—an experience that rewards a quiet, intentional moment of preparation.

Matcha Kame is a one-time release for the 2024 season. Once these tins are gone, they’re gone. If you’ve enjoyed our Matcha Wazuka, this is your chance to taste the next evolution from the same renowned producer—taken to its ultimate expression.
